Master of Arts in Public History
The Master of Arts in Public History is a 33 to 36 credit hour program that offers two areas of study:
-
Contract History Track -- Trains students in the fields of historic research, interpretation and preservation
Our MAPH courses are taught by a mixture of academic faculty and current professionals. This blend offers students optimal guidance in theory and practice. Courses are offered in the evening, allowing students the opportunity to continue working while they pursue the degree.
To supplement their primary course of study in public history, students will also take elective courses from among the many programs at NKU to enhance the skills needed in their chosen career path.
Outside the classroom, students participate in community-based projects that give them an opportunity to develop their skills while helping an organization meet its needs.
