Public History

History majors often wonder what they can do with their degree other than teach in a traditional classroom. 

• Ever considered what it would be like to work in a museum or archive?
  
• Have you toured an historic site and thought, "What would it take to work here?"
  
• When you watch a television documentary or read a book about history, do you ask yourself, "How can I do that?"

Answers to these questions can be found in public history courses that give NKU history majors a new direction to take with their careers.

Our master’s program in public history will begin in January of 2010. It will provide students with content, theory, method and practice learning in preparation for a non-academic humanities career.
