Area of Concentration
in Women's & Gender Studies
- 12 credit hours (4 courses) at the 300-level or above of Women's & Gender Studies courses.
Program Objectives
- To study the contributions in each discipline made by women in society.
- To promote research regarding women's past, present, and future contributions to society.
- To analyze the changing roles of men and women in society.
- To study possible social changes and reactions to the changing roles of women and men.
- To study special problems faced by women in the labor force, under the law, and in social situations.
- To gain a cross-cultural perspective on women and to learn about new role possibilities for women.
- To study the normative values relevant to a women's movement.
